Description
To inherit the title of Davidoff Royal Release, the journey from seed to cigar takes 10 years. It is harvested separately from other crops, and cured in Davidoff’s Royal Barn. The Master Blenders monitor colour, texture, aromas and burn regularly to ensure the standards demanded of a Royal Release are met. Bales given the Royal stamp are then left for eight years of ageing so they age to perfection. Throughout this time, they are lavished with ideal temperature, light and humidity to create a cigar of such regal elegance. Everything about a Davidoff Royal Release is handpicked, including the hands that roll them. Eight of Davidoff’s finest rollers were given the task of using their combined skill and knowledge in crafting and creating a Davidoff cigar the like of which no one has seen, held or tasted before.
Davidoff’s Master Benders chose Royal Release’s unique wrapper for its extraordinary beauty and shine. A wrapper specially reserved for the Davidoff Royal Release line only, which will not dress any other Davidoff cigar. The Royal Release Robusto delights the palate from the first puff with elegantly smooth flavours of oak wood, leather and fresh spice, along with notes of sweet corn and milk chocolate with a creamy aftertaste. The Royal Release Robusto is best combined with an exclusive single malt whisky. From the first puff and the first sip, one realises in a beautiful instant that the elegant flavours of the whisky go hand in hand with the refined wooden and roasted notes of the cigar.
