RoMa Craft’s Skip Martin wanted to create a cigar that was not only on the extreme side of the power spectrum, but at the same time had some really complex flavor to it. The Neanderthal cigar blend uses a San Andres Maduro wrapper, which is dark, toothy and oily. The binder is a Connecticut broadleaf, which Martin credits for giving the cigar its intense sweetness, and a combination of fillers including Nicaraguan Condega, Esteli, Jalapa, and Pueblo Nuevo, and lastly Dominican Olor Ligero. To blend the cigar RoMa Craft had in mind they needed to find a special tobacco that did his project justice. They used a Pennsylvania Double ligero, nicknamed Green River Sucker One, which added the additional punch they were looking for. An interesting mix of tobaccos creating a rich, earthy powerful cigar with complex flavor notes…Sign me up!
